Clemmie Vaughn- Hampton was born May 15, 1944 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Nathaniel and Margie Ree Vaughn
At an early age Clemmie accepted Christ at East Caney Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Clemmie united to Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Eli Cooper in Paducah. Clemmie was united in marriage to the love of her life Henry L. Hampton, and to this union 3 children were born. Clemmie was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and speaker; she spoke on the radio in Sulphur Springs each Saturday until she moved to Paducah Texas.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father (Margie & Nathaniel), her husband (Henry), two sons James Earl Vaughn, Henry L. Hampton Jr., (3) brothers Leonard, John, and Curtis Vaughn, two sisters Ethel Ann and Annabell Vaughn Colbert.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories two daughters Teresa and (Tim) Benson, Debra Johnson (Kenneth) of Dallas, Texas, (2) Step children Glenda Parker and Michael Hampton of Clovis, New Mexico, (6) sisters Edna Vaughn Neal, Nodia (Karl) Wright (Amarillo, Texas), Ruby (Don) Hurd, Christine (James) McGruder (Paducah, Texas), Cynthia (Jim) Garrett (Wichita Falls, Texas), Debbie Vaughn (Leslie) Childress, Texas, (1)brother Nathaniel (Joyce) Vaughn (Dallas, Texas). (11) grandchildren Deontay Hampton, LaKentra Alexander (Lorenzo), William Hampton (Vantasia), Miya and Ma’Riya Benson, Myron, Kizzie and Tywane Hampton, Bianca, Alexis, and Brock Hampton (5) great-grandchildren David, Ah’Riyah, Ananiah, Deontay, and Ka’Leah. She also leaves a great host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
