J. Verne was a man of God, always reading the Bible. He cared and prayed for everyone in his life. He prayed for family salvation. Anytime he had company, as they were leaving, he would say, “Have a blessed day all day long and abundantly.” I always knew he would say, “hunky dorie” when asked if he was ok. His family all looked up to him for peace and guidance. He was always ready to lend a helping hand if anyone ever needed anything. He was truly a great man of God.
Services were held 2PM Friday March 15th at the First Baptist Church in Paducah, TX with David Williams officiating under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home. Following services interment was held at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
