Leslie "Sis" Taylor Obituary

Leslie Michelle “Sis” Taylor passed away in UMC Hospital on Saturday January 18, 2020 in Lubbock, TX at the age of 36.

Sis is survived by her two children David Ace Taylor and Brynleigh Jane Chavez both of Matador, Mother Terry Martin of Matador, Grandmother Margie Taylor of Matador, Brother John Gregory and wife Betty of Denver Colorado, Brother Shane Taylor and wife Wendi of Lubbock, Brother Conway Clary and wife Lacy of Matador, Sister Louann Talamantez and husband Esequil Jr. ‘JJ’ of Sunray and Twin Sister Lisa Martin of Matador, Eleven nieces and nephews, extended family and numerous friends.

Sis is preceded in death by her father Leslie Taylor, Grandfather Raymond Taylor and Grandmother Eunice Lane.

Sis was born on December 7, 1983 in Lockney, to Leslie and Terry Taylor. She graduated from Motley County High School in 2002. Over the years Sis moved to Lubbock and Sunray only to return home to Matador, where she chose to raise her children. She worked numerous jobs throughout her life with Billie Deans Restaurant always having a spot for her to come back to.

Sis was one of a kind. She never met a stranger and was a friend to everybody she met.   She had a beautiful smile and way about her that always made you feel special. Sis loved people and loved pouring her heart into helping someone.

Her biggest blessings in life were her two kids. Looking at their little faces each day she could see all her hopes and dreams for her life through their eyes. She was so unbelievably proud of them both. Their manners and respect for others, their sense of love and loyalty to her and to each other. And their hard work and dedication they developed for their schoolwork and going to church.  She was always proud of Ace for being the man of the house taking care of his family. He inspired her by his love for church and desire to know more about Jesus Christ. She had great joy in Brynleigh working alongside her at the café. And was always delighted to see how Brynleigh loved, respected and cared for others.
