Lila Ellen Phelps

Lila “Ellen” Phelps, 89, Beloved wife and mother, went to heaven on June 16, 2019. Ellen was born in Pratt Kansas on September 2, 1929 to Perry Watson & Mary Pearl Foulke (King)

She married the love of her life Irvin Bryan Phelps (Buddy) on May 31, 1946. Together they had eight children. They moved to Spur, TX in 1999.

She was a homemaker, Sunday school teacher and worked with Home Health and Hospice. She was part of the Red Hat Society and Friends of the Library. Ellen had many hobbies that included genealogy bug, gardening, cooking, canning, knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Ellen was best known as “Grandma” to all.

She was preceded in death by husband, Irvin B. Phelps, Son’s; Irvin E. Phelps(Butch)  and Daniel P. Phelps, Daughters; Katherine S. Mosely and Lori Getzinger.

Ellen is survived by her children: Robert D. Phelps, Richard L. Phelps, David W. Phelps, and Linda J. Croddy, many Grandchildren and Great grandchildren.

A funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday June 20, 2019 at the Community Bible Chapel in Spur, TX. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday June 19th at Zapata Funeral Home Spur, TX
