Robert "Bobby" Vasquez

Robert “Bobby” Vasquez was born on December 24, 1959 to Ralph and Toni Vasquez in Spur, TX. He was a graduate of Spur High School, Class of 1979. He married Laidy Garcia, the love of his life, on October 23, 2009 in Pflugerville, TX. He ran a successful bail bonds company in Georgetown, TX for 14 years before retiring and moving back to his home town. He served his community on the City Council from 2013-2019.  He was a big Bulldog fan and loved getting together with his classmates. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, tending to his cows, and spending time with his dad.  He was loved and known by many, he never met a stranger. You could often find him and his wife cruising around town making their rounds. He is preceded in death by his dad, mom, brother Alfonso Vasquez, and his daughter Nicole Vasquez. He is survived by his wife Laidy, his sister Barbara and husband Joe Castillo of Bertram TX, daughter Crystal Vasquez and husband Morris of Round Rock TX, son Tyson and wife Jessica Vasquez of Arkansas, step daughter Amy Olivarez of Jayton TX, step daughter Eileen and husband Jesse Taylor of Eastland TX, step son Jesse and wife Alicia Alonzo of Fort Worth TX and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the best Papaw, Pa, and G-pa to 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
