Shirley Cooper Obituary

Shirley Annette Cooper, 73, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, peacefully departed this life on September 15, 2008 after a long battle with diabetes. Shirley entered this world on September 2, 1935, to George and Eva (Thacker) Pierce in Dickens, TX. She was the youngest of four daughters. On December 27, 1952, she married Bob Cooper in Spur, TX.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Bob Cooper; a son, Buddy and wife Sherry Cooper; two daughters, Delsey Vance and Missy Cooper, all of Lubbock ; four grandchildren; two great granddaughters and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 1-2:30 p.m. , Thursday, September 18, 2008, at Campbell Funeral Home in Spur, TX. Services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Highway 70 Church of Christ interment to follow at the Dickens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association; P.O.
