Adelia P. Lee entered her heavenly home on July 26, 2022 in Amarillo, Texas. Adelia was born on July 13, 1923 to Spurgeon Jones Perkins and Lenora T (Moore) Perkins. The family lived in Delta County, Texas in the early years, then briefly in Hamilton and Lubbock counties before settling in the Delwin community. Adelia attended Delwin Rural School through eighth grade and graduated from Valley View Rural High School, a consolidated school district north of the Delwin community. She attended Texas Technological College (now Texas Tech University).
On January 19, 1946, James Carroll Lee and Adelia Perkins were married in Paducah, Texas. They were married 53 years until his death in 2000. To this union, they had two children, Karen Joyce and James Ronald.
Adelia enjoyed being involved in her church and community. She was a member of the 1964 Study Club and the Euterpean Club. She always enjoyed a foursome of Bridge. In later years, she played Bridge several times a week. Adelia came from a musical family. She was an alto vocalist and loved family harmony. She thoroughly enjoyed playing the piano for her Sunday School class.
She is survived by daughter, Karen Yoder (Larry), son, Ronnie (Jeanette), granddaughter, Paige Rawlings (Bobby), grandsons Chance Yoder, Stoney Lee (Leah), Rhett Yoder (Michelle), Seth Lee (Kaci). Great grandchildren, Abigail Yoder, Van Yoder, James Lee, Brittley Yoder, Caleb Lee, Anna Lee, Brody Lee, and Evie Yoder, her sister, Thera Latimer, sister-in-law, Sara Ratliff, many nieces and nephew and a host of friends.
