Barbara Gail (Brown) Hutchinson

Barbara was born October 31, 1940, in Paducah, Texas to George and Ruth Brown. She was a 1959 graduate of Paducah High School. She married Don Hutchinson on February 10, 1960 in Childress, Texas. In their early life together they both worked in the farming and ginning business with Barbara helping the farmer with their crops getting to the market. She worked at the Chalk Gin and the Paducah Gin for many years. I remember her talking about the great friendships she had with the local farmers. Barbara was also a homemaker as well raising 3 boys in the country. She spent her last working years as a teacher's aide at Paducah ISD which she enjoyed greatly. Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paducah.

Barbara was an avid reader and enjoyed any sporting event that was on TV. She loved to crappie fish. Her most enjoyable times were spending time with her two grandchildren. She was fortunate to live one block away and got to watch them grow up. She attended every sporting event, school event, or any activity that Haley and Tate were a part of. She was their greatest supporter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth Brown, a brother, Floyd Brown, a sister, Kaye Turnell, son, O.D. Hutchinson and son, Jim Hutchinson.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 61 years, Don Hutchinson. Her son, Billy Hutchinson and wife Leslie of Paducah, daughter in law Lisa Hajak Hutchinson of Bastrop, sister in law, Jane Hutchinson Becker of Amarillo, two grandchildren, Haley Hutchinson of Lubbock, and Tate Hutchinson of Paducah, two brothers, Tommy Brown and wife Brenda of Paducah and Loyd (Jug) Brown and wife Carolyne of Argyle, Texas.
