Bernice Ozelle (Long) Watson

Bernice Ozell Watson at the age of 95 was called to return to her heavenly home to be reunited with her heavenly loved ones on February 15, 2022. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8 She spent the last season of her life here on Earth as a resident of Kent County Nursing Home in Jayton, Tx. Our family is thankful for the staff and the care received throughout that time.

She is preceded in death by both parents; husband, Will Watson; sons, Robert and Michael Watson; grandson, Patrick Scholl; brother, James Long; sister, Shirley Whitefield.

Bernice is survived by 3 of her children, Ronnie Watson (Wife Barbara), Karen Crow (Husband Paul), Patti Haley (Husband Russell), 7 grandchildren (Christine, Amy, Kenneth, Daniel, Matthew, Jennifer, Sarah and their spouses), 19 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other loved ones.

Graveside Services will be conducted at the Girard Cemetery Chapel in Girard Texas on Saturday February 19, 2022 at 2:00pm with Jake Edwards officiating under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home.
