She and Kent farmed and ranched their family land together at Dumont for many years. She also served 31 years as a teacher’s aide and bus driver for Patton Springs ISD. She truly had a heart for children,
anyone that ever sat around their table felt like family.
Betty loved dancing, music, fishing, hunting, ranching, and her grandkids. She knew every Bob Wills song, and had all the local dances in her datebook. She was an avid outdoor person. She would rather feed cows than keep house. She also took care of the Dumont Cemetery for many years. Betty enjoyed hearing news and getting pictures of her grandkids and great grandkids. Grandchildren include: Keeley Grant (Kensley, Kitley & Kalvin) of Lufkin, Tori Jameson (Justin & Thatcher) of White Flat, and Demi Cochran (Coby & Callia) of Aspermont.
