Bobby Holley Obituary

On April 26, 2022, Bobby Leatrice Brooks Holley went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 91.  She was born to Roxane Peay Brooks and Calvin A Brooks on September 16, 1930.  She attended Hackberry School, Alamo School and Paducah School where she graduated with the class of 1947.  Bobby was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church Paducah where she taught in the Beginner Sunday School department and in the Junior Department, she was also in the Choir Ministry.  She also was active in WMU and was FBC Secretary for a time.

     Bobby Lea married Billie J. Holley on April 6, 1947, they were married for 67 years upon the passing of Billie J, they were married in Paducah.  She was in Order of Eastern Star where she was the Worthy Matron four terms.  She was the bookkeeper for Brooks Grain and Delinting Company.  She also worked at Vernon Savings and Loan in Paducah and at the Texas Department of Public Welfare local office.  She also worked for the American Ag Movement in 1977-79 after the tractor cade got to Washington D.C. 

    In 1983 Bobby Lea and Billie J. moved to El Paso, Tx where Billie took a job for the Veterans Affairs Administration, then was transferred to Kerrville, Tx. In 1993, they moved back home to Paducah where their passion was working on their farm.  She enjoyed crocheting and all kinds of needlework and helping with the farm.

     She is preceded in death by her husband Billie J., her parents Roxy and Calvin Brooks, two brothers John William and Delwin Brooks, mother in law and father in law, Anna Belle White, Allen Holley and step father in law, Clint White, her sister and brother in law, Anna V Mayes and Lloyd Mayes, her brother in laws Leon Holley and Roger Holley, her nephew Calvin Chris Brooks, her niece Marilyn Mayes and her son Regan Holley.

     Survivors include her sons Kevin J. Holley and Todd W. Holley, a daughter in law Carmen Holley, her grandson Cody Holley and her granddaughters Carli Holley and Charlie Holley, her nieces and nephews, and an adopted daughter Carol Ruffolo, and her children and grandchildren.
