Bobby Don Tomison of Paducah, Texas, passed away February 15, 2020 at the age of 85. He was Marine veteran of the Korean War and was in “The Battle of The Hook”. He loved fishing, hunting, photography and spending time with his friends at the coffee shop. Bobby photographed many Dragon and Dragonette football and basketball athletes from the sidelines. He was a member of the Paducah Rod and Gun Club for many years and played outsiders volleyball and softball. Bobby worked for the TV signal service in Paducah and later the TL Roach Unit in Childress until his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Paducah. Bobby was also a member of the PHS Class of 1955 before enlisting in the Marines.
Bobby was born January 17, 1935 to Ocie & Ophie (Bearden)Tomison in the Hackberry Community in Cottle County, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Tomison. He is survived by his wife Patsy (Foster) Tomison of 62 years, a daughter Terri Brooks (Brad) of Paducah and son Billy Tomison of Henrietta, Texas; One sister Linda Smith (Robert) of Paducah and one brother Rick Tomison (PJ) of Lubbock, Texas; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be February 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Military Honors at the Garden of Memories in Paducah. Visitation will be Monday February 17, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Zapata Funeral Home in Paducah. Donations may be given to the Paducah Cemetery Fund.
