Brenda Gail Cowart Fell Johnson, age 77, died early Thursday
morning, September 30, 2021, at University Medical Center
following a brief illness. She was born March 26, 1944, in
Paducah, TX, to Ben and Geneva Cowart. Brenda was a 1962
graduate of Paducah High School and attended West Texas State
University for two years. She married Orin George ‘Corky’ Fell
February 8, 1964 in Canyon, TX. Brenda and Corky had three
children who were the highlight of her life: Vincent Fell, Noel Fell,
and Lacy Fell McLemore. We are still trying to figure out who her
favorite was. Brenda was an active member of the Paducah
Church of Christ for many years, a member of the Paducah
School Board, and an active member of her community. She
helped Corky with Fell Spraying Service. He did the flying; she did
everything else. Without her, the business would have crashed,
no pun intended. Brenda also loved to fly, receiving her pilot’s
license in 1974. She loved her life in Paducah. Corky preceded
her in death on January 2, 2000. She married David Eugene
Johnson on November 23, 2001. Their marriage took them to
several towns in Texas and finally back to Lubbock where she
was an active member at the Southside Church of Christ. She is
survived by her husband, David Johnson, three children and their
spouses, Vincent and Donnice Fell of Lubbock, TX; Noel and
Penny Fell of Weatherford, TX; Keith and Lacy Fell McLemore of
Buda, TX; two stepchildren, Brendon and Sarah Johnson of
Albuquerque, NM; Scott and Amanda Johnson Free of Belgrade,
MT.; and seventeen grandchildren.
