Carole Ann Baker

Carole Ann Baker, 76, of Spur, TX passed away Wednesday November 8, 2023. Carole was born May 10, 1947, in Spur, TX to James Alvin Baker and Lela Mae (Ussery). Carole enjoyed growing up in Spur and graduated from Spur High School in 1965.

After graduation, she had many ventures that took her from Lubbock, TX to Nashville, TN but she would make her way back home to Spur, TX. She worked many years for the Dickens County Courthouse and as a switchboard operator for Cardiology Associates. She was a member of the First of Assembly of God where she was the music director. Carole loved playing the piano and singing gospel music.

Those left to cherish her memory are brothers; Jimmy Baker and fiancé Cynthia of Lubbock, TX, Bobby Baker of Spur, TX, nieces; Drew Humphreys, Erin Yates, Amanda Jeter and nephew Ryan Baker.

She is preceded in death by her parents James Alvin and Lela Mae Baker, and sister-in-law Cindy Baker.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday November 11, 2023, at Spur Methodist Church, Spur, TX followed by interment at the Spur Memorial Cemetery with pastor Scott Gray officiating under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home.
