Carolyn Lancaster Obituary

Carolyn Lancaster, 72, of Matador, Texas passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 in Vernon, Texas.

Carolyn was born July 1, 1949, to Josh and Lula Daniel. She grew up in Henrietta, Texas, along with her four brothers and two sisters.  They were raised on area ranches. Her brothers ended up on the Waggoner Ranch in Vernon. It was there that she met her husband, Gary Lancaster. They married on July 8,1968.
Carolyn's kids and grandkids were her absolute life. She was happiest when she was surrounded by them all. If she was at the Springs with them, life was even better. She was a friend to all. She was known for her humor, especially as displayed across her famous Facebook posts. She loved the PBR and discussing every ride with her brothers. She was crazy about the Motley County Matadors. She kept the road hot traveling to her grandkid's events.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Clay, who she has missed dearly since 1988; her husband, Gary; her four brothers, Windy, Cotton, Bobby and Mack; and her two sisters, Patsy and Delores.

She will be missed by her daughters and very best friends; Shanna and her husband Brian of Lazbuddie, Texas; Wendy and her husband Jay of Old Glory, Texas; Mammy’s precious grandchildren and the light of her life; Cutter, Jordan, Cambree and Coby Glover and Jaylee and Tyge Flowers; and some extra bright light that was shone upon her in the past few years, her great-grandchildren belonging to Cutter and Jordan, Stran and Nayvie, and the little one that is on the way. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws Susie Daniel and Louise Daniel, and one brother-in-law Ray Hager. The list of nieces and nephews is so long we could write a book.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
