Charlotte Elaine Nelson Davis went to her heavenly home on Thursday, April 23, 2026, while on hospice at her home in Paducah. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Elaine was born on January 16, 1948, to Troy and Ira Bill Nelson. She attended Paducah schools until her junior year, when she fell in love and married Danny Lee Davis on March 5, 1965. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and service to others.
Elaine dedicated over 40 years of her life to caring for others as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She also served her community as an EMT with the Paducah EMS Department. Her compassion and commitment to helping others left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Danny Davis of Paducah, Texas; her four daughters, Tonya Seigler (David) of Tyler, Texas; Paula Davis of Hawley, Texas; Jessica Larned (Mike) of Childress, Texas; and Cassandra Garcia (Roberto) of Stone Mountain, Georgia; 15 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Sharon Taylor (Victor) of Amarillo, Texas.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Ira Bill Nelson; a stillborn baby, Angel Davis; grandson, Moses Daniel Raye Mercado, and her nieces, Stacie Raye Davis and Sharisa Williamson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Davis Fund at Wellington State Bank in Paducah, Texas, for the benefit of the Davis family.
