Cheryl Hubner, a beloved wife of 53 yrs, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and pioneer, passed away on December 7, 2024, in her home in Roaring Springs, Texas. Born on November 10, 1951, Cheri, as she was affectionately known to her friends and family, lived a life filled with love, adventure, and courage.
Cheri's career spanned various fields, from serving as a waitress in many establishments, showcasing her love and hospitality for people, to managing properties for different companies, displaying her exceptional business acumen and compassion for others. However, her most notable achievement was her groundbreaking work in the trucking industry for women. Cheri fearlessly entered the male-dominated field 37 years ago and blazed a trail for other women to follow. Her adventurous spirit and unwavering work ethic inspired many.
Cheri was a fighter in every sense of the word, battling two different types of cancer with grace and strength. Despite the challenges she faced, Cheri never lost her zest for life and determination to overcome obstacles.
Cheri leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and resilience. She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial will be held at 2pm on May 3rd 2025 at 609 N 3rd St Roaring Springs TX 79256 and at the Roaring Springs Tx Cemetery.
