David "Dave" Lawrence Fitzgerald
Obituary
David "Dave” Fitzgerald died unexpectedly in his home on May 4, 2023, in Henderson,
Nevada, at the age of 57.
David was born on September 10, 1965, in Hamlin, Texas, to Benny and Catherine
Fitzgerald. He graduated from Spur High School in 1984. He attended Texas Tech University.
He spent a number of years in Colorado, Nevada, and Utah working in the automotive retail
industry starting as a finance manager and working his way up to Assistant VP of Dealer
Development. Throughout his career, he fostered many professional relationships that
developed into friendships spanning many years. His colleagues and friends remember him as
hard-working and generous. David was a dedicated sports fan who loved the Pittsburgh
Steelers.
David is survived by his parents, Benny and Catherine Fitzgerald of Spur, Texas; sister and
brother-in-law, Audrey and Dusty Hill of Idalou, Texas; and nieces and nephew, Abby, Jolee,
and Cooper Hill.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Fitzgerald of Spur, Texas.
A Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 20 th at 1:00pm at First Baptist Church, Spur, Texas.
Pastor Mosely of the First Baptist Church will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend
and celebrate David’s life.
