Obituary
Delcie Elizabeth Prather (89) of Paducah, TX passed away Sunday, February 13,2022 at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock,TX after a lengthy illness. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 2:00PM at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Paducah.
Delcie was born September 12, 1932 in Milton Earnest, England to Walter George Willars and Dorothy Cotton Willars. Delcie was the youngest of 8 children, and was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers and 1 sister.
Delcie is survived by her Husband Freddy Prather of Paducah TX, 3 children, Randy Swearingen and wife Sue of Crowell, Sheryl McLaury and husband Buster of Paducah, and Jeana Phillips and husband Ron of Brownwood. Delcie was MeeMaw to 6 Grandchildren, and 13 Great Grandchildren, and a niece she loved dearly, Sandra Adcock of Crowell, TX.
Delcie worked for several years as the Activity Director at the Crowell Nursing Home, then she worked side by side with her Husband, Freddy on the Triangles Ranch as a Ranchers Wife. Freddy says “ She was a pretty good hand horseback”!
In lieu of flowers , the family requests donation to St. Jude’s Hospital in Delcie Prather’s name.
Arrangements were made for cremation under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home in Paducah TX.
Freddy requests ANYTIME visitation between Thursday and Tuesday, says “ Just come by my house at 1209 8th Street in Paducah, would love to visit and tell stories”. Pending
