Donna Jeanette Worley Roberts left this earth December 17, 2023 at the age of 69, to celebrate Christmas in Heaven. Donna was born in Paducah, Texas on July 1, 1954 to Neiland Wayne Worley and Velma Lee Maxey Worley. She was one of four children. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Diane, a brother Gregg and a son Steven Bouknight. Donna is survived by sons Jason Bouknight, Scott Bouknight, Denny Winn, and Terry Winn and wife, Megan, a brother Randy and wife Sharon and nephew Alex, and a community of friends.
Donna was the mother of 5 boys and worked very hard at several jobs to raise her boys. She was not afraid of work and met most challenges head on. Donna was multi-talented and a jack of all trades. Her favorite title and what she was best known for was probably extremely talented musician. Donna was a member of the First Baptist Church most of her life but in later years, attended the First Methodist Church. Upon her death, Donna was serving as the pianist for the Methodist Church. Donna took piano lessons for 12 years from Reva Jean Beck who was an excellent pianist, soprano and wonderful family friend. After graduation from Paducah High School, she attended Midwestern State University and studied music. Donna enjoyed all types of music whether she was listening to it, playing it on the piano, or dancing to it. Donna has played the piano for many establishments, lodges, functions, western events and with many bands. She excelled in her music and could play any type of music! If she could hear it, she could play it. If it was unfamiliar, she would just say, “Hum a few bars” …
Donna did many other things throughout her life as well. She was extremely talented and attributed much of what she learned to her grandparents, Vard and Flora Worley. She sewed, quilted, knitted, crocheted, gardened, canned, fished and camped. She was a good cook and enjoyed baking. She was also great at Animal Husbandry. She raised and nurtured many different types of animals. Many friends called her for advice about many things because they knew Donna would know the answer. She is also known for her work with flowers and plants in a greenhouse and landscaping setting as well as working in the local florist. Donna has managed businesses, assisted with home health and with friends who badly needed her help. Donna was actively involved with dog and animal rescues.
She knew a lot about a lot of things and never minded helping anyone. Donna will be missed by family and friends.
