Doris Anita Scott-Green passed peacefully and happy in the home of her eldest son Robert L. Green Jr. in Paducah, Texas on April 19, 2026, at the age of eighty-six. Born December 5, 1939, in Gallipolis Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harry D. Scott Sr. and Mary F. Hill Scott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Robert L Green Sr. “Bobby” the love of her life, stepmother, Barbara Scott, brother, James Scott, sisters Donna Smith, Harriett Qualls, and Dinah Scott.
Later in life she attended Business School graduating with an associate's degree. She also received her certificate as a Nail Tech in the 90's. She was employed as a bookkeeper for WJEH radio station in Gallipolis, General Manager for Independent Career Associates, Three Men in a Truck as an office manager in Columbus and retired from Childhood League Center as a teacher’s assistant in Columbus along with various jobs. She dedicated her life to her family and her love of sewing, sketching, and painting which the children have in their homes. Doris was known for her love of music and dancing, always smiling and laughing when she was with her family. She enjoyed travelling with her husband and visiting her children. Doris was witty, loving, dedicated, committed, daughter, wife, mother, sister, auntie, and grandmother.
Doris is survived by her sons, Robert L. Green Jr. of Paducah Texas, Marklin P. Green (Chauncey) of West Palm Beach Florida, daughters Stephanie K. Daniels (Stanley) of Sanatoga, Pennsylvania and Crystal L. Green of Columbus Ohio. Grandchildren, Robert “Bobby” Green III (Shaeleena), Shannon “Nikki” Green (deceased), Shepard Creekwater (Cyril), Lily Green, Anita Rose Curry-Green, and Jazmyne Daniels. Great grandchildren, Elisha, Ivy, Baruch, and Shilo Green, Rowan Silvanis Green; and her siblings, Harry Scott, Jane Lutrell, Florence Williams, and Christian Scott, as well as nieces and nephews.
