Ed Ross “Nig” Wyatt, 81, of Spur, Texas passed away on September 6, 2020. He was born to Jim and Robbie Wyatt on January 4, 1939 in Spur, Texas. Nig was a lifetime farmer and rancher in Dickens and Kent County. He started his life as a rodeo cowboy/calf roper and attended rodeos from Texas to Canada and Florida to California. He raised cattle and farmed cotton, wheat and other feeds to support the ranch. He was a very active member of the Highway 70 Church of Christ in Spur and was a sweet, kind-hearted gentlemen. He was a wonderful Christian man and led a life that was a true example to all of those that knew and loved him.
Nig married the love of his life, Patsy on July 3, 1964 and they spent 56 wonderful years together. Nig is survived by his wife, Patsy, son Brad Wyatt of Lubbock, daughter Michelle Wyatt of Levelland, and six grandchildren Desiree and Tipton Stephenson of Midland, Whitley and Ryan Tippit, Will and Katie Wyatt, Baley and Josh Merrifield, Shaley and Skylar Sutton and Jacob Wyatt all of Lubbock. Nig is also survived by one sister, Sharon Hendricks of Riner, Virginia and one brother, JT Wyatt of Kingsport, Tennessee.
Nig is preceded in death by his parents Jim and Robbie Wyatt and brother Wayne Wyatt.
Nig will be honored at a graveside funeral service at the Spur Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 2:00pm.
