Eulogio Garza Sr., 77, of Spur, TX entered heaven’s gates on Sunday February 27, 2022.
Eloy was born December 18, 1944, in Robstown, TX to Miguel and Maria Garza.
Eloy spent his early childhood years picking cotton in Texas and up to Minnesota picking sugar beets. He attended catholic school in Robstown, Texas. He lived between Texas and Florida and after many years in Immokalee, Florida he returned home to Spur America.
Eloy received his barber license from Texas Tech. He was a first-class butcher. He wore many hats and owned many establishments, restaurants, meat market, barber shop and was a big part of Farmworkers Coalition in Immokalee, Florida. He was a man of many talents and Loved to sing, dance, play chess, pool, and paco. “Carnalito” never met a stranger. Although he had many roles and possessions nothing mattered more than his family.
Eloy is preceded in death by his parents; Miguel and Maria Garza, Sisters; Sulema, Maria, Gloria, brother Robert, and wife Ofelia Rosas Garza.
Those left to cherish his memory wife, Nancy F. Garza, his children; Eloy Jr., Mary, Mike, Yolanda, Ruben, Patricia, Gilbert, Sulema, Thomas, and Roxane, siblings; Margarita, Ruben, Miguel Jr., Juan, 35+ grandchildren and 30+ great-grandchildren.
