Flora Mae (Smith) Smith

Flora, Mae Smith was born May 23, 1930, to Irvin and Bessie Smith Of Spur, Texas. She had three sisters., all preceded in death.

Ms. Smith passed Sunday Dec.1st 2024 in Kent Co. Nursing Home where she had resided since September on Hospice.

She was a wife and homemaker and ran a daycare and did ironing for the public for many years. She enjoyed keeping children, she did it so long that she had kept 3 generations in many families. Later in life she enjoyed working at Spur Senior Citizens Center and The Spur Sewing Factory. Her hobbies were baking, quilting, gardening, garage sales, playing games, walking and loved reading her bible. She loved going to church, and she would on occasion sing a song for the congregation when asked to. Flora gave birth to 3 daughters, 4 sons, and had adopted a daughter. She had 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
