Forest Allen Carson

Forest Allen Carson, 85, of Matador, TX entered heaven’s gates on Sunday November 8, 2020 in Matador, Texas.

Forest was born in Ardmore, OK on April 8, 1935 to Ivy and Peggy Carson. In June of 1959 he married the love of his life Elwanda. They lived in Waco, TX for many years where he drove for various trucking companies and was blessed to retire as a truck driver.

Forest was preceded in death by his wife, son, Kit Allen Carson, daughter, Krystal Dawn Carson and parents.

Those left to cherish his memory, daughter, Karen Carson of Matador, TX; sons, Kyle Wesley Carson of Roseburg, OR and Kelly Wayne Carson of Lubbock, TX; sisters, Virgina Adaline Porter of Louisiana, Della Mae Rhine of Ponca City, OK and Joe Ann Ports of Ponca City, OK, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside celebration of life will be officiated by Pastor Eddie Helms of the First Baptist Church of Matador, TX at 2:00 PM Friday, November 13, 2020 at Roaring Springs Cemetery, Roaring Springs, TX under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home.
