Frances Donaldson Obituary

Frances Jeanette Donaldson, 74, fondly known as “Fannie” of Matador, Texas, went to be with her Lord on May 5, 2023

Frances was born on November 4, 1948 to Clifford “Pip” and Dorothy Martin in Matador, Texas.  She grew up on a farm near White Flat which began her love of flowers and animals.  Her family moved to Matador in 1963 when she was 15 and she resided there most of her life.

After graduation, she attended West Texas State University but left early as she fell in love with Danny Earl Brandon of Roaring Springs Texas.  After a whirlwind romance, they eloped in 1970 and resided in Matador where they raised four children, Amber, Brooke, Kyle and Quintin.

Frances was most passionate about her children and grandchildren and very proud to have become a great-grandmother this year.  She loved it when her family came to visit and always ensured they were well fed. She loved to visit and laugh and talk about past times that she experienced and enjoyed.  She had numerous friends, old and new, and was loved by all.  She also loved her Kitties.

Frances was preceded in death by her mother and her father and husband, Dan.

She is survived by her brother Stan (Melisa) Martin of Matador TX., Children, Amber (Matt) of Lubbock TX., Brooke of Matador Tx., Kyle (Leisa) of Amarillo Tx. and Quintin (Tambra) of Greeley Co.  Grandsons, Aaryn, Stockton (Kait), Cade, Bryson and Granddaughter Brittney.  Great-granddaughter Holly and Great-grandsons James Dean, Ashton and Hunter.

Romans 8:38-39       For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demon, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Isaiah 40:31      But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles: they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
