Frederick (Fred) Joseph Grant

Frederick (Fred) J. Grant, of Matador, passed from this world suddenly on January 1, 2021 at the age of 73, of cardiac arrest.

Fred was born October 27,1947 in Griffin, GA. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in Vietnam as a paratrooper and Rigger.

He came to Texas after exiting the military were he met Kathy Stoneman. After a whirlwind courtship they were married March 1977.

Fred was proceeded in death by his parents Miller W. Grant and Evelyn Grant ,brothers Miller Grant Jr and Danny Lewis.

He is Survived by wife Kathy ,son Joseph Grant and wife Pat, son Michael Grant and wife Sarah. Grandchild Seth, Lylah, Auggie, Zayda, Jonathon, Patricia, Stormie, and Melissa, sisters Faye Pitts of Texas City, Texas and Joan Lewis of Carson City, NV, Father-In-Law Alvis Stoneman of Spur, TX, numerous nephews and nieces.

He loved his family and his dogs and is greatly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
