Gay Nash Obituary

Gay Nash beloved wife, devoted mother, precious Granny and loving sister passed away peacefully at her lake home in Kingsland, TX surrounded by her family.

Gay was born on April 22, 1934 in Oak Grove, LA to Charles Hoyt and Minnie Mae Gaddy. She married the love of her life Ezra Ira Nash Jr. on September 17, 1954 in Hobbs, NM. The two of them were blessed with two children; a son, Gaylon Hoyt and a daughter Belinda Kay.

Gay adored her family. She loved to travel with them and thoroughly enjoyed sharing her’s and Jr.’s lakehouse with their many family members. She especially loved the 4th of July and taking the grandkids out on the boat to watch the fireworks. Gay made the best banana pudding around. Her family has always said that no one made it quite like her though many have tried over the years. Hers was always made with extra special love.

Those left to cherish her memory and share her legacy are her husband, Ezra Ira Nash Jr., son Gaylon Nash and wife Cindy of Odessa, TX, daughter Belinda Benesh and husband Kevin of North Richland Hills, TX; five adoring grandchildren, Brandy Wilson and husband David of Bastrop, TX; Michael Nash and wife Hattie of Odessa, TX; Laura Mitchell and husband Jake of Fort Worth, TX; Rebecca Gillespie and husband Drew of Carrollton, TX and Scott Benesh of Fort Worth, TX; eight great-grandchildren; Tyler Wilson and Fiancée Cecilia Bradfield of Bastrop, TX; McKinzie James Wilson and wife Morgan of Leesville, LA, Chance Wilson of Bastrop, TX, M’Kenna, Jacoby and Fallyn Nash all of Odessa, TX, Case and Crawford Mitchell of Fort Worth, TX; her sister Bobbie Virgel of Sweeney, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
