It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mother Guadalupe Moncada Frausto at the early age of 77 years old. She was surrounded by her loved ones in Spur, Texas as she peacefully passed away in our brother’s home in the small city of Spur, Texas on January 25, 2025.
She was the beloved wife of Raul Vinton Frausto Sr., who also preceded her in death on April 6, 2022. Guadalupe was the daughter of Ambrosio and Francis Moncada, born on November 16, 1947, in Yancey, Texas.
She was raised with five siblings; Brothers, Juan and Ambrosio Moncada and Sisters, Victoria and Lucy Aragon and Lyna Reyes all out of Morton, Texas. My parents Raul and Lupe Frausto raised four children in Stanton, Texas. The oldest Raul Frausto Jr. who was married to Linda Frausto of Waco, Texas together Jr. and Linda shared five beautiful children who also gave them great-grandchildren, Rafael Frausto who is married to Rosemary Frausto from Spur, TX shared three beautiful kids and six great grandkids, Rene Frausto Sr., who is married to Leticia Frausto share five beautiful kids and several great grandkids and one daughter Rebecca Frausto, who lives in Snyder, Texas, and has three beautiful kids and five great grandkids.
Our mother and father were also preceded in death by our older brother Jr who passed away on October 28, 2005, at the age of 38.
Lupe and Raul raised their kids most of their life in the West Texas area. Mom was always considered a housewife even though she was a CNA and a medication aide she still loved more than anything to be home with her kids. Lupe was a devoted woman to her church, and she loved to crochet and sew when she was at home relaxing. Our mother was big on love, family and just spending time with the ones she loved and I guess this will be something we can always cherish for the rest of our lives Is the family which was always a big thing for my parents and we need to continue that tradition on because I know that’s what they would want.
In honor of Guadalupe Frausto a visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 6pm-8pm with a rosary at 7pm at Zapata funeral home.
A service is scheduled for Wednesday January 29, 2025, at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spur, Texas with interment to follow at Spur Memorial Cemetery.
May you all be blessed and thank you Zapata funeral home for your services and thank you to Spur, Texas for making my parents feel so at home during their time of living here.
