Guadalupe Morales, 97, of Roaring Springs, TX died on January 19, 2021. Guadalupe was born March 4, 1923 in Temple TX to Francisco and Maria Morales.
She was a wonderful daughter, sister, and aunt to so many nieces and nephews. With unwavering faith in God, she led her life in a quiet manner often showing her labor of love by cooking and sewing for people.
She was well known for her exceptional pecans, spending many hours harvesting and nurturing them to perfection before mailing them to family members. As the oldest sister, she became the mother figure to not only her siblings but to nieces and nephews, Goya, Audelia, Steve, and Louisa who lived with the family. This was a role she was very proud of because she loved her family and never stopped praying and showing concern for them no matter how far away they were. Guadalupe was born in Temple TX and later became a life-long resident of Roaring Springs. Her home was her pride and joy as she diligently worked her entire life taking care of it and preserving the memories of the Morales family. She was a member of the Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for many years. When she was no longer able to drive, God knew her heart and sent her a church family and Pastor Raymond and Sindy Mizelle from the Full Gospel Church in Roaring Springs and others in the community. These compassionate friends and her long-time friend and caretaker, Joe Martinez watched over her and took care of her needs bringing her great comfort when she needed it most.
