Obituary In Loving Memory of Harron “Big Lee” Burnett Lee
January 5, 1960 – October 5, 2025
On a cooler-than-normal Tuesday in Los Angeles, California, Harron Burnett Lee was born to
his proud parents, Willie Mae Clark Lee and David Abner Lee on January 5, 1960. Harron,
affectionately known as “Big Lee”, entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the age
of 65 at his home in Spur, Texas.
Harron was introduced to God, our Heavenly Father, early in life; and was educated in the
Compton, California public school system, where he developed the values of perseverance and
integrity that would guide him throughout his life. After completing his education, Harron
pursued a career as a professional truck driver. Through many years of dedicated service, he
exemplified diligence and dependability, proudly traveling the highways and byways of the
country before retiring. Known for his strong work ethic and generous spirit, Harron touched the
lives of many—both on the road and in his community. After retirement, Harron chose to return
to Spur, Texas to be closer to and help take care of his father and Uncle Johnnie, who were both
delighted for him to do so.
Beyond his professional life, Harron was known for his generous spirit and compassionate
heart. Big Lee was also an avid coin collector, taking great joy in the art and history each piece
represented. His appreciation for life’s details extended to his love for people and animals as
Harron faithfully supported numerous charitable organizations and gave freely to those in need.
His kindness and humility left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing
“Big Lee”, a loyal son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who kept his promises.
Harron is lovingly remembered by his devoted big sister, Helen Lee, and his protective big
brother, Harriel Johnson, along with a host of cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Though he has departed this earthly life, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those
who loved him until we meet again. Big Lee’s life was one of quiet strength, hard work,
generosity, and simple joys. His legacy of love, kindness, dependability and service will be
deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
