Joann (Cowart) Love

Joann Cowart Love, 93, of Paducah Texas passed away on October 23, 2025.  Joann was born on January 19, 1932 in Paducah, Texas to William “Eugene” and Ada Edwards Cowart. She graduated from Paducah High School in 1950. Joann married Donald Love in 1952 where they lived in the Cee Vee community until they moved to Paducah in 1970.  She was a leader in the Paducah community, serving for many years as a member of the Chamber of Commerce and was awarded Member of the Year in 1977.  Joann owned and operated Love Jewelry and Gifts in downtown Paducah for more than 25 years. Joann was a dedicated mother to her two sons, Randy and Terry, volunteering on many committees and projects in support of them, including band boosters, little league baseball, parent-teacher organizations, and 4H.  She was a loving grandmother and great grandmother, doting on her granddaughter Elissa and great-grandchildren, Brandon and Scarlett.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald of 48 years; her son, Terry Love, and her brother Jack Cowart. She is survived by her sister Mary Dell Cowart of Olympia Washington, Randy Love (Heather) of Austin; Elissa Love Flemons and Brandon and Scarlett Smith of Paducah.
