Kenneth Jones Obituary

Kenneth Jones died peacefully at home on May 30, 2026, in Paducah, Texas at the age of 64 after a battle with illness.

Kenneth was born on April 6, 1962, in Paducah, Texas to Wesley and Jessie Mae Jones. He graduated from Paducah High School in 1981.  Kenneth moved to Lubbock in 1990.  He met the love of his life, Lana Jones in 1991.  They married in 1996 in Lubbock, Texas, the couple welcomed one child into their home.

Kenneth was a loving, caring and at times, a very outgoing person. He was dedicated to his family.  Kenneth loved to make his family laugh.  He lived life to the fullest until he just couldn’t anymore.

He was an accomplished Construction worker as well as a Painter.  He loved making cabinets.  Kenneth couldn’t walk into a building or house without looking around and letting you know what needed to be fixed.  These were things you couldn’t tell unless you looked closely, but he could spot it a mile away.  He enjoyed barbequing and thought he was the “Grill Master”.  He also enjoyed cooking and again thought he was the best at it.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Wesley and Jessie Mae Jones, three brothers, Charlie Jones, Billy Charles Jones and David Jones.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory, his ex-wife, Lana Jones; one son, Wesley Deandre Jones and two step sons, Demarcus Hall and Demetric Hall; two grandchildren, Zyrihona Jones and Zaeveon Jones, one great grandson, Zarreon Jones, siblings, Lesley Jones of Paducah, Texas, John Jones (Martha) of Arlington, Texas, Weldon Jones (Barbara) of Arlington, Texas, Lonnil Jones (Ruby) of Paducah, Texas, Michael Jones of Paducah, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial will be scheduled at a later date.  We will notify everyone of the time and location.   The family would like to thank Hospice of South Plains of Spur for their dedication to taking care of Kenneth.
