Lakota Redding Obituary

Lakota “Red Feather” Redding was born March 2, 1996. Red was 100% Native American from the Lakota Sioux tribe in South Dakota. He was placed into foster care in the home of Kathi and Ernie Redding when He was five years old. After some time he was adopted by Kathi and Ernie. We have all felt so very blessed to have had a relationship with this young man that made such a difference in so many of our lives, and to think the Dr’s said he wouldn’t live past age eleven. Red passed away one week before his twenty seventh birthday. This goes to show how love goes such a long way and how the power of prayer worked miracles. He was an angel to us while here on earth and now he is an angel in heaven. Red has left us all heavy hearted because we all miss his beautiful soul. He was sweet, he was precious, and he was a fighter! He was most definitely was his Aunt Stormy’s little warrior!! Red is in Heaven now! He is in Heaven running, jumping, laughing and playing! He is also dancing and flying with the angels. Something he couldn’t do here on earth! No more pain and that makes our hearts smile.

We believe Red left us that day to be in heaven with his cousin/best friend Erik Montgomery. He went to help him prepare and save a place for all his family and loved ones; a spot in Gods kingdom for each one of us on our day. What a glorious day that will be!!

Red Feather is survived by His Mom and Dad Kathi and Ernie from Girard, TX; Four sisters, Toni Hogan, Maci Redding, Phoebi Redding and Gracie Redding from Lubbock, TX; Four brothers, Chance Redding and Clint Redding from Lubbock, TX, Lucas Redding of Dallas, TX and Cody Redding from Girard, TX., and so many Aunts and Uncles and cousins that loved him so much. Last but not least, his very first nurse and his very last nurse that was there the day he gained his wings, Ms Mandi Jo!

So go run free with the angels

Dance around the golden clouds

For the Lord has chosen you to be with him

And we should feel nothing but peace and comfort knowing He is with our Lord and Savior!

So very grateful is how we feel because we knew you for as long as we did! Thank you Lord!

Until we meet again little warrior, save our place!! ❤
