Lesli Dianne Clark, 62, of Spur, TX, gained her angel wings Wednesday, May 21, 2025, after one heck of a fight against the CBeast. She was born on October 8, 1962, to Guy Hugh Rush and Carolyn B. (Kirk) Rush in Lubbock, TX.
Lesli’s heart belonged to, “Her Cowboy,” Eddie Clark, whom she married on November 11, 2006, at the Windmill Center in Lubbock. Together, they shared a love that was a testament to resilience, partnership, and devotion.
A gifted writer, Lesli contributed a weekly Golf Association article for the local paper. However, it was her Chemo Chronicles that she was most proud of—candidly sharing the highs and lows of her journey with cancer. Her purpose in writing was to provide hope and encouragement, with the hope that her words would inspire others and lead them to faith in Jesus.
Lesli found joy in many places, but some of her greatest happiness came from travel—especially her cherished trips to Mexico. She had a passion for capturing life’s moments through photography, and she loved nothing more than being outdoors. Golfing and camping at Roaring Springs Ranch with friends were some of her favorite pastimes, where laughter and good company were always in abundance.
Lesli had an extraordinary ability to connect with people and nurtured a circle of friends that was both vast and deeply meaningful. Her friendships were as vibrant and genuine as she was. Above all else, what truly filled her heart was her family. They were the center of her world, her greatest pride, and the deepest source of her happiness.
Lesli is preceded in death by her father, Guy Rush; father-in-law, Kenneth Clark; mother-in-law, Donna Clark; and her son, Case Clark.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Eddie Clark of Spur, TX; her mother, Carolyn Rush of Lubbock, TX; her sister, Lauri Casler and husband Richard of Lubbock, TX; her son, Cole Clark and wife Randi of Throckmorton, TX; and two cherished granddaughters, Kennedy and Collins Clark of Throckmorton, TX.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Spur Methodist Church, with Pastor Scott Gray officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Case Clark Scholarship Fund, Spur EX-Students Association, P.O. Box 243, Spur, TX 79370.
