Lorenzo “Shorty” Cardozo, 76, of Childress, passed away Monday, December 2, 2019, at his home of residence. He was born September 5, 1943, in Zaragoza, Michoacan, Mexico.
Lorenzo was a custom farm fence building and repair contractor. He worked in and around Cottle, Childress, Quanah, and King Counties. His line of work would also take him as far as the state of Kansas on some occasions. Lorenzo was known for his dedication to his craft, always staying busy ensuring he produced a very robust product. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Lorenzo was a tremendously dedicated man, who was devoted to his family and children. Lorenzo will be sorely missed by all those who had an opportunity to know and be around him.
He is survived by his devoted wife and companion of 42 years, Aurora Melchor Cardozo; 5 daughters, 6 sons, 4 sisters, 3 brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
