Mac was born on May 5, 1932 in Gilpin, TX to Walter and Mattie Driggers. He graduated from Spur High School in 1950. He worked in the oil field and owned his own business before taking over the family farm in 1962.

On December 23, 1955 he married the love of his life, Neta Fay Burch, the couple recently celebrated 65 years of a wonderful loving marriage. Mac and Neta shared their love of the farm and wonderful home-cooked meals.

Mac valued his faith, his family, and his farm. On the farm, he worked tirelessly, and his fields had no weeds, and his grassland had no mesquites.

Mac was a humble servant leader. He served almost 60 years at First Baptist Spur as a Deacon and most importantly as a friendly smiling face that welcomed attendees as he greeted them and handed them a bulletin each week.

He also served 32 years as a founding board member of the Spur Cemetery Memorial Association, 15 years as a Spur Farmers Coop Gin board member, and 9 years as a Spur ISD board member.

Mac cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; he rarely missed a game or life event if they were involved.

Mac was preceded in death by one son, Mark Driggers, his parents, Walter and Mattie, one sister, Robbie House, and one brother W.J. Driggers.
