Mary Frances (Casey) Dixon

Mary "Frances" Casey Dixon died peacefully at the Matador Health and Rehab Center in Matador, Texas at the age of 90.
Frances was born on Nov. 6, 1932 to F.M. and Minnie Casey.  She grew up in Whiteflat and graduated from Matador High School in 1949. She soon married the love of her life, Stuart Dixon, on June 10, 1949. Together, they built their life in Whiteflat farming and raising cattle. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Matador, where she served in the music ministry alongside her daughter, Elaine Risser. She was the church pianist for almost 40 years, and was an active member of Women's Missionary Union. She also helped organize children's choir and later, Kids' Praise. She loved her Lord and Savior and supported missions locally and around the globe. Her family was very important to her and she was an extremely generous and loving person to everyone who knew her. She enjoyed travelling and hearing about the travel experiences of her granddaughters. She loved to take in colorful landscapes and beautiful skies, marveling at God's creation.
Frances is survived by her son-in-law, Fred Risser, of Matador; two granddaughters, Kobbi Blair and spouse, Brian Blair, of Midlothian, Texas and Kaci Risser of Salisbury, Maryland; and two great grandchildren Journey and Dixon Blair of Midlothian. She is preceded in death by her parents F.M. and Minnie Casey, and four brothers and four sisters; her husband, Stuart Dixon; and their daughter, Elaine Risser.
