Maude Elizabeth (Edwards) Swaringen

Maude Elizabeth Edwards Swaringen died in Crosbyton, TX, on February 1, 2022 at the age of 89.  Maude was born on October 8, 1932 to John & Winnie Darcy Edwards.  Maude married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Cristol Swaringen on June 22, 1951 in Dickens, TX. They had 2 children,  Vickie Lynn and Tommy Gale.  Maude was a farmers wife!  She loved taking care of her family and farm by sewing, gardening and canning in the summer.

She was a member of Dickens Baptist Church for more than 65 years.

Maude is survived by her son, Tommy Swaringen & wife, Peggy, of Dickens, TX.  She had 5 grandkids, Kelly Smith & wife Tami, of Liberty Hill, TX, Tony Smith & wife, Elena, of Azle, TX, Becky Fletcher & husband, Hadley, of Lubbock, TX., Kevin Swaringen & wife, Alysia, of Dickens, TX., Amy Harris & husband, Lance, of Spur, TX.  Maude had 18 great grandkids and 2 great-great grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Winnie Edwards, her husband of 69 years, Cristol Swaringen, and her daughter, Vickie Smith.

The service is scheduled for Friday, February 4, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Spur, TX
