Patricia (Beauchamp) Brooks

August 1, 1939 ~ May 30, 2022 (age 82)

God's creative hand sent forth the life of Patricia Augusta (Beauchamp) Brooks born August 1, 1939 at home in the Delwin Community in Cottle County, Texas to Aubrey Lee and Theola White Beauchamp.  God called Patricia home on May 30, 2022 from her home in Paducah. She fought breast cancer bravely  for 2 years and was on hospice care the last 10 days of earthly existence.
At age 2 years, the family moved to Paducah. Patricia was raised in a loving Christian home with a large extended family. She accepted Jesus Christ at age 6 years, a few days shy of her 7th birthday. Patricia is a 1957 PHS graduate where she excelled in all sports, especially basketball and as an all-state volleyball player. She was offered a basketball scholarship to the Wayland Baptist Flying Queens but chose not to attend; instead, she married the love of her life, Joe Don Brooks in the First Baptist Church parsonage February 24, 1958. From their union, three children were born. She followed Joe Don to many trap shoots and loved supporting her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren athletic events and other activities. Patricia loved Jesus and her family. She instilled the teaching of Jesus and the importance of love and respect for self and others. She loved her family with all of her heart. She was a selfless, beautiful and faith-filled woman of God.
Patricia retired from the ASCS office after 30 years. Prior to that, she worked as the Baptist Church secretary and served in various areas of the church. One of her greatest joys was working in the children and youth departments for decades and organizing Operation Christmas Child for her church. Patricia had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a district deputy Grand Matron of Texas. She had been a member of the 1923 Study Club and a charter member of the 1964 Study Club. She enjoyed gardening and was a faithful prayer warrior.
