Patrick Fieldon Leslie was born October 19, 1981 in Childress, TX. He was baptized on October 21, 1990, and left this earth on August 1, 2020.
Growing up, Patrick was like every other good big brother - protective and ornery at the same time. He taught Erick the important things in life - how to play basketball and video games, throw a football, ride dirt bikes, and dip Copenhagen.
He enjoyed camping in the mountains and competing in trap shooting events with his Popaw and Nanny. He rode thousands of miles on four wheelers at his Grandma & Granddad’s farm at Chalk with his cousins Amber, Heather, Kris, Sabra, and brother Erick. Grandma lovingly called him Patch.
In high school, Patrick was known for his calm demeanor and lighthearted humor. He was part of many sports at PHS, but enjoyed Dragon football the most. He was even voted Most Handsome in 2000.
Patrick left Paducah to attend Vernon College, then to radiography school at Amarillo College. He loved being in the medical field, and worked as a radiology tech in multiple clinics and hospitals in West Texas and the DFW metroplex.
Most recently, the biggest joys in Patrick’s life were his niece and nephew. In 2014, when Blakely was born, he was once again called by his childhood nickname, “Bubba.” He was a sweet and loving Bubba, and spent hours pushing Blakely on swings at the park and chasing her around the house. He loved to play on the floor with Reid, and pulled both kids around in a wagon before they could even walk. The kids always put a smile on his face.
Patrick is preceded in death by his grandparents Welton Fields, Mary Fields, Ealon Leslie, Joyce Leslie.
He is survived by his parents Rick Leslie and Tamye Garrison, brother Erick Leslie and wife Haley, niece Blakely, and nephew Reid, many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Memorial service will be at First Assembly of God church in Paducah. Family visitation is the preceding evening at Zapata Funeral Home.
