Raquel (Garza )Pesina, 57, of Spur, TX entered heaven’s gates on Wednesday September 29, 2021 in Lubbock, TX.

Raquel was born in Brownfield, TX to Juan Garza and Anita Gomez on June 11, 1964. She spent most of her days growing up in Sinton, TX. She married Fidel Pesina on February 14, 2007, in Spur, TX. Raquel worked at Spur Hardware and you never saw her without a smile and a friendly greeting. She enjoyed gardening and raising her chickens. She admired being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Raquel loved her family with all her heart and soul.

Raquel is preceded in death by brother Juan Garza and son Thomas.

Those left to cherish her memory, husband Fidel Pesina, sons; Thomas Lara Jr. of Crosbyton, TX, Anthony Lara of Lubbock, TX, Fidel (Wynette) Pesina Jr. of Bay City, TX, Mark Pesina of Lubbock, TX, daughter Nicole (Ben) Gonzales of Bay City, TX, parents; Juan(Delia) Garza of Lubbock, TX, Anita (Juvenal) Salinas of Levelland, TX, siblings; Hector Garza of Levelland, TX, Robert (Martha) Garza of Lubbock, TX, Angie (Anthony) Vasquez of Lubbock, TX, Javier (Dahlia) Garza of Lubbock, TX, Cynthia Salinas of Lubbock, TX, Yvonne (Noe) Rodriguez of Lubbock, TX, Nuno (Sue) Salinas of Lubbock, TX, Luis (Michelle) Salinas of Lubbock, TX, Gabriel Garza of Lubbock, TX and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Rosary is scheduled for Sunday October 3, 2021, from 6pm-7pm at Zapata Funeral Home in Spur, TX

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday October 4, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spur, TX. Committal will follow at Spur Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements made under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home.
