Rebecca “Nana” Jean Payne, 69, of Amarillo, Texas unexpectedly went to be with the Lord and the family members who passed before her. While we know she is no longer in pain and is
finally reunited with her Husband she will be greatly missed here on earth by so many people.
Nana was born on February 28, 1955, in Waco Texas. Although Rebecca Jean Payne is her legal name, NANA was the name she was given by her grandkids and she was so proud to be
called Nana. Anytime she was introduced to new people through us kids and grandkids she was introduced as NANA. She ROCKED and OWNED it proudly. Most of her adult life she worked in
hospitality or customer service type jobs. She loved spending time with her family especially Everleigh Raye Jean Scroggins whose middle name was given to her after Nana. She loved
going to the beach and coloring on her tablet. Anyone that new her loved her and would always say “she is so cute and petite” little did they know she was a firecracker. She was married to
Leroy Payne for 45 years before his passing.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Linzy Leroy Payne, Mother, OmaBell Schmedel, Father, Glen Farmer, Grandparents, Bryan and Leona Mcpherson, Uncle Thelter Mcpherson,
and cousin Margaret Phipps.
She is Survived by her Sons, Clint Dalton and wife Sandra, Christopher Payne and wife Savannah, Daughter, Chastity Payne, 9 grandchildren Renee, Audrey, Tyler Kay, Tatyon,
Lathyn, Justin, Josh, Leland, and Haden, 3 great-grandchildren Everleigh, Omarion, and Lillie, Her Sister Deborah Peyton, Sister in law Margie Telford, Her Aunt Gail Mckee and husband
Freddie, and also many nieces and nephews and cousins.
