Reyes Lara Pesina, age 71, of Spur, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 22, 1953, in San Juan, Texas, to Juan Santa Maria Pesina Sr. and Natatlie Ortiz, Lara.
Reyes dedicated his life to farming and took great pride in his work and the life he built with his family. On December 31, 2004, he married, Patricia Harm Pesina, and together they shared over 20 years of companionship and devotion.
He is survived by his wife Patricia; his children Melissa Flick, Stacy Castillo Muniz, Michael Ray Perez, Anthony Ray Pesina, and another daughter; and 19 cherished grandchildren. His memory lives on through his brothers Fidel L. Pesina and Pete L. Pesina; and Sisters Flora P. Garcia, Florinda P. Robles, Dolores P. Ramirez, and Natalia P. Tijerina.
Reyes was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Tino L. Pesina, Toby L. Pesina, Juan L. Pesina Jr., and Margarito L. Pesina Sr.; and his sister Carolina P. Caballero.
A man who loved deeply and lived fully, Reyes enjoyed spending time with his wife and family above all else. He had a strong bond with his extended family and was affectionately known as “the crazy uncle” to his nieces and nephews. One of his greatest joys was riding his Harley Davidson Fat Boy, a symbol of his spirited personality and love for the open road.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Spur Memorial Cemetery.
Reyes will be remembered for his humor, his heart, and the love he gave so freely to those around him.
