Tommy Brown,71, of Paducah, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2021.
Tommy was born in Paducah on September 17, 1949 to Emma Ruth and George Griffin Brown. After graduating from Paducah High School, he began working alongside his father at GG Brown Trucking, his handle being “Little Brown Jug”. He also opened his own business, Brown Gas. Tommy was very active in the community, especially with the Paducah Sports programs, serving as President of the Paducah High School Booster Club for several years. As his children moved on from high school Tommy went to work for Kenosha in Denton, TX, retiring after 20+ years of service.
Tommy loved life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed spending his time with family and friends, golfing, and of course supporting his Texas Tech Red Raiders. “Wreck Em’ Tech!”
Those left behind to carry on his memory are his wife of 33 years, Brenda Brown of Paducah; their children Robert and Christina Stotts of St. Joe, TX, Josh Brown of Paducah, TX, and Tanner and Heather Brown of Roanoke, TX; grandchildren Serenity, Taylor, Hadley and Hunter; and brother Lloyd and Carolyn Brown of Argyle, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents Emma Ruth and George Griffin Brown; brother Floyd Brown; and sisters Kay Turnell and Barbara Hutchinson
Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday January 14, 2021 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Paducah, TX, under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home.
