Tommy Michael Wilson, beloved father, teacher, and friend, passed away on May 2nd, 2021. He was born to parents Billy Lew and Wilma Wilson on June 5th, 1956 in Spur Texas.
Mike graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Soil and Crop Sciences. For 39 years, he educated hundreds of students at Jayton High School. Mike worked tirelessly and selflessly as a teacher, extending his passion for learning beyond the classroom. His love for adventure took him all over the world, traveling with his best friend, Dana, forging connections with people everywhere through his charismatic and energetic personality.
He led by example, often outpacing others, and lived his life without compromise. Mike was a pillar of his community and loved by all.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Billy Lew and his son Christopher. Mike is survived by his mother, Wilma; children, Matthew Wilson, Heather and Tyler Backus; siblings, Brenda McDonald and husband Mac, Billy Wilson and wife Pam, and many nieces and nephews.

***There will be a celebration of life memorial service on Friday May 14, 2021 at 7:00 PM at the Jayton Football Field. All attendees are encouraged to wear either a maroon or Hawaiian shirt in honor of Mr. Wilson!***
